I've just received a Boss GE-10 from the US with the following spec; AC 117 V - 50/60 Hz - 3W.

Can someone advise on the appropriate transformer to run it in the UK? Thanks.

Here's a step-down transformer with a 45 VA (watts) rating - more than enough for your 3 watt gadget. Just £9.99. The transformer has a USA power socket = does your gadget have a USA power plug (flat pins)?

I bought one the same as this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Voltage-transform ... 53df281b2e and am wondering if it's too cheap?

When I searched for one the first time, I wasn't sure what the wattage should be, there were a number of choices and even a calculation so that you'd get it right (if you knew what you were doing).

As is my want, when I got the info from Ray, I checked out eBay and bought one similar to the one listed above, but I guess like everything else, you get what you pay for so I'll wait and see how it performs knowing that I can get a better quality one at Maplins.
