"Tell Ricky, We Sing It"

... and I'll bet we're one of the few bands that still do!

And unlike him you sing it "live" not to a backing track.

Actually, Mick sings it, not me! I do double bass impressions and the vocal refrain (as they used to say)!

How strange. We're playing in the Cambs area on Sat too. Two versions of Tell Laura.... in the same area on the one night! What are the odds against that?

We gave our Mick a big build-up, saying that Ricky himself was appearing not far away to sing the same song but that our audience had shown taste and discernment by coming to see us. Unfortunately that was the song that finished him off. His summer cold "got" the last vestiges of his voice and the rest of us spent the next couple of hours mucking in to sing everything we could get away with. Thank goodness the audience were "with us"!
We'll do it again properly at our next gig there...
