A touching gift

I just want to say how thrilled I was when my younger lad (well, 29) suddenly showed up and said "I've got a record for you"

An original, green label vinyl of 45-DB 4484

Thanks Charly. Little things mean a lot. That one meant everything.

Nice one, Iain and Charly.

In fact, most copies of 45-DB 4484 are green-label (it sold over a million before the change). This would be the case for everything up to and including Guitar Tango, with Dance On! being the first Shads single to appear in the new unified black-label EMI layout. But black-label copies of DB 4484 (and earlier discs) certainly do exist. My first copies of Apache and Lonesome Fella (both purchased in 1963) arrived with the new-style labels. I have obtained supplementary green-label versions since then...
