Was watching the DVD of 'Concert for George' - the all star tribute concert featuring George Harrison's songs put on by Eric Clapton in 2002 - and spotted Alan Rogan, who looked after Hank's guitars on the recent Cliff & the Shadows Tour (he has also looked after Pete Townsend for years - as per previous messages on this site).
I also spotted Lionall's name (who has looked after Hank's guitars and also Cliff's guitars on a number of tours) in the credits for the Led Zeppelin reunion gig at the O2 a couple of years ago. Isn't it amazing where these guys show up?
Mind you - I'm not sure I'd like to be away from home on tour as much as the roadies - or to have to deal with some of those so called stars who are complete prima donnas!! (no names mentioned...outside shadow world of course!!)
Concert for George DVD is well worth getting if you like George Harrison - though it is expensive at over £20 - I've never seen it cheaper than that - I think though it has remained full price because it was in aid of charity.
