Greg, what's the story behind the Vox (Meazzi) echo unit shown in Colin's setup?

Roger, I don't know. I asked Rapiers bassist Nathan J. Hulse today. He didn't know! I have an email to rg Neil Ainsby with same question. Colin needs to step into 21st Century and get online; otherwise, it's placing a call to him.

I was told some time ago that Colin's Vox/Meazzi is an Atlantis unit in a custom-built cabinet. I can't guarantee that, but it came from an authoritative source.

Colin´s Atlantis is the echo in the other pictures. I think it was "built" by Geoff Strachan for Colin. I looked for a good shot of it for years because I have done the same with mine one but no success.

This is not the re-housed Atlantis that Colin has owned for years. He does indeed have a new echo box. It's the closest looking replica of a Vox-badged Model 2 Meazzi I've ever seen. I've never heard the unit as it wasn't working when I saw it (the breakdown led to the well-publicized loaning of my Meazzi for a Rapiers gig in February). It's a one-off, and is not in production. That's just about all I know.

I believe Colin's world and his technology ended in 1963! I sometimes wonder if he's a lot smarter than the rest of us? He must have saved a fortune over the years by not buying "must have" gadgets, which need updating or throwing away every 12 months!

This morning I wrote in this thread that I looked for pics of Colin Pryce-Jones Atlantis echo for years. This evening I received an email from Geoff Stracham with those pics. Thanks a lot Geoff!
