String Of Hits...alternative songs?
Posted: 09 Sep 2010, 20:08While sitting listening to the"String Of Hits" album, I thought,with all due respect to The Shadows, that 3 of the tracks are not quite up to standard of the rest of the album.
I am thinking of "You're The One That I Want", "Heart Of Glass" and "Baker Street".
Now this is only my opinion and personal taste,but was wondering what would have been good replacements for those songs?
Here's some of my suggestions: A second original composition (on Side A),perhaps a vocal...I think Hank&Bruce could have done a great arrangement of the Brian&Michael song "Matchstalk Men&Matchstalk Cats&Dogs" (without the kids in the backround lol), maybe an instrumental of a Queen song? "Don't stop me now"? And a final suggestion, an Elton John song "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", "Crocodile Rock",or "Song For Guy"
As I said this is my own choice, you might think I am talking out of my hat, but be interested to hear your suggeestions too
