After 12 days of very rough ride, they finally released me from hospital on good behaviour, following the surgery.

May I take this opportunity to thank everybody for their kind wishes, phone calls and messages - it has been a great help with the low morale. This really is a great community.

I shall be sorry to miss Shadowmania for the first time but I wish you all a good weekend.

I won't be allowed to lift anything heavier than a tremolo arm (not to mention an AC30) for at least six weeks but I hope to be back with the Sussex Club before too long.

Once again - my deep gratitude for all the kindest expressed.

I can't say, Ecca - it's not a subject to discuss in polite society! Suffice it to say that I have an abdomen that looks like a map of the London Underground.
