The ShadowMusic Web Community

It was 1 year ago today that this version of ShadowMusic went live. It was conceived on 8th September and took 8 days to set up, configure, modify, enhance and test before being released to the membership on 16th September 2009.

I have been very pleased with the way the software has performed, the reliability of the server and the way the site has been used by all the members. Therefore, I have a few thanks to make for what I believe has been a very successful year for ShadowMusic. While I have tried hard to include everyone concerned my grovelling apologies to anyone I've inadvertently left out.

Thanks to:-

Derek Misselbrook and David Martin who asked me if I was able to set the site up and make it work and for their help in planning the various forums, site policies and overall usability.

1 and 1 Internet who have hosted the software so admirably and reliably over the past year.

Mac Kerr for his advice on how to set up and maintain a peaceful and harmonious forum.

Dave Robinson and Lesley Bartholomew who represent Friends Of The Shadows and The Shadows Are Here and have moderated the site from the start.

The Guinea Pigs who tested the site in the few days before it went live.

Chris Kenward for helping with the transition from his site.

Cindy Kenward for helping with moving the shadowmusic.co.uk url to this site

Amanda Hambidge for evaluating and testing various parts of the forum software.

Bojan Drndic for designing the board header and all those who submitted such fantastic entries to the competition.

All those who have made such kind and generous donations towards the maintenance of the site throughout the year.

All the members who have since joined the site and, I hope, have enjoyed their time here.

Thanks again to everyone and I look forward to the next year of ShadowMusic. If it goes the same as this one I shall be very happy.
