That's exactly what I thought, apparantly it's something to do with the quality and has never been put out on DVD

I saw "Finders Keepers" a few times on TV up to about 1974. I then had to wait until about 15 years ago when I caught it on the Disney channel. I have not seen it on TV since. I have been able to obtain a DVD copy, but I would probably be advised to keep quiet about it. As I have said before on this forum, for me "Finders Keepers" is the best of Cliffs films because The Shadows are featured more strongly and the Soundtrack is better. I find the rest of Cliff's films to be a little cringeworthy especially "Wonderful Life"!!!!!!!

... but dubbed from a VHS cassette onto a DVD-R. Not the quality one would expect from a DVD.

The videobeat dvd is very poor. I made a dvd from the vhs video and it came out very well (at least as good as the vhs), but the masters are in very poor condition, hence it will never be released on an official dvd.

There's an easy to explain distinction between the first three colour musicals - "The Young Ones", "Summer Holiday" and "Wonderful Life" - on the one hand and "Finders Keepers" on the other.

The earlier films were made by Associated British Picture Corporation (ABPC), whose back-catalogue is now owned by the French-controlled Canal+. On first release, as with the previous film, "Expresso Bongo", they were shown (in the UK) at ABC theatres and then at independent theatres who tended to take ABC material.

"Finders Keepers", though, was made by United Artists and was shown at the Gaumont chain (then still operating in the UK).

Completely different ownership...

That's all of them, from "Serious Charge" through to "Take Me High".

Except for "Finders Keeper", of course.
