Que?
Harry Fowler - aka Flogger Hoskins from "The Army Game" - whats that got to do with anything, Ecca :? .
I remember Bill Fraser as Sgt Major Snudge and Alfie Bass playing "Excused Boots" Bisley too. Ah - memories!!

Great Hankies last night with several welcome Guests - Robbo, Dan Martin, and 3 lads from Doncaster (Graham and co - sorry didnt get the other names  ). Brill playing from all concerned. Come back soon.
Ecca was all set to demonstrate how Orange Blossom Special is played only for the Backing Track to go into Meltdown 30 seconds in!! LOL!! (you had to be there to have enjoyed the moment!   )
Keiths JMI AC30 was there (what an awesome amp!) and for the second spot I forsook my trusty old Zoom2000 for a Q2 - what a fabulous combination of amp and echo that is.
Amanda brought her replica AC15 and loads of other gear -the stage looked like "Barratts of Manchester" in the 60's - LOL!!
Cheese cobs were of the usual excellent quality - thanks Keith - happily devoured by all.
Top Night ! !
cheers
Ian

Thanks to all at the Hankies for 'having' us last night and for an amusing evening.
It was good for Daniel and myself to try Amanda's AC15 with the Meazzi, though everyone agreed that it sound distorted each time and perhaps needed a bit more time to set up to achieve the best results. As far as the sound of this particular Meazzi goes, I still prefer my ESE Echomatic and on the night I thought that Keith's Q2 sounded awesome, though not vintage. Same goes for Eddie's rig which sounded very close to Hank's 1980's sound when he used the Boogie & Roland gear.
I used Keith's JMI with the Magicstomp and again would have benefited from having a bit of time to set it up correctly. Very nice but on this experience nothing that I'd want to swap with the gear I already have.
Gren's Bose system sounded great, I use a similar system for my solo gigs and was impressed to hear it from the audience with someone else playing.
How unfortunate about the failure of Ecca's BT for Orange Blossom Special - priceless!!!
Thanks again, we'll be back . . . . . . :)

Great night, I was so disappointed about the failure of the Orange Blossom Special BT.
I had no inkling.
