Wonderful Life Film From Daily Mail Freebie

Postby Shadoogie » 22 Oct 2010, 16:46

Hi All,

I have just watched the Cliff Richard movie Wonderful Life (freebie from the Daily Mail recently) and I am sure I did not fall asleep but did not see the Shadows playing "Walkin'" or the "Theme For Young Lovers".

If my memory serves me there were film sequences of these two tracks - weren't there?

Or am I having many senior moments here?!! :-)

Good wishes to all

Geoff

"A Pocket Guide To Shadow Music", page 133, confirms that these Shadows numbers were not in the film.

Thanks for that Ken.

But why do I recall a sequence of the Shadows playing "Walkin'" and walking across sand dunes?

Am I going totally senile?

Cheers

A brief snatch of TFYL *is* heard as background music in a scene with Cliff and Susan...

I think, Geoff, that the answerto your question may be 'yes'! But don't worry about it - the time to worry is when you have to start carrying your birth certificate around with you!!!

HI Geoff.

Just before the romantic scene with Cliff Richard and Susan Hampshire yuo can clearly hear the Shadows playing WALKIN !

The background music in this romantic scene is Theme for Yong Lovers played by a full orchestra.

Hope this help you.

Best regards Dag (BIBA)
