Hi all,

Been reading a bit regarding these strings. Can anyone here with experience of these strings comment on them? Are they durable, do they loose their sound quickly, do they break easily?

Am considering giving them a go...

Cheers,

Richard

Really good strings Richard, and a really nice guy who makes them by hand... my experience is that they lose their tone rather quickly.

Hi Richard, I use Newtone electric masters 12-52 (W 24 G) and change every 4/6 weeks, they do give 'the sound'

They supply the strings for Burns don't they.

I use them regularly (phosphor bronze) and they last me, with regular playing, over a year.

I have a different experience with them than does David. I find they don't lose their sparkle for at least a year, but I suspect it may depend at least on some personal factors such as sweat etc. Some people are more prone than others !

All the best,

Nick
