Whilst looking through a guitar book this morning I saw a photo of Gene Vincent and my eye was caught by what looks to me like a young Jet Harris with a Vox AC15 near him.
See what you think

Perhaps it's the bass player of the Blue Caps then.

The Blue Caps used Fender guitars (including a Precision Bass). It's hard to see why any of them would be using a Framus.
Is it in fact Licorice Locking (with the Wildkats) backing Vincent?
The amps are right, the bass guitar is right and the suits and ties are right. And that looks like Licorice...

PS: If it is the Wildkats, the rhythm guitarist with the glasses would be Tony Belcher.

Hi Roger,
It may have been Art Jacobs who played with the Ravens. Here's the link :

It's possibly the 'Shouts', who backed him on one of the UK tours, if the picture is taken in Britain.
Tony.

It could be Brian Gregg, later of the Pirates and the Tornados

It could be Heinz Burt, the first bass player of The Tornados. He was blond and looked a lot like the guy on the picture. In fact, it could well be that the Tornados as a group were backing Vincent on the picture.

Or it could be Tab Martin. He must have backed Gene.

You could be right. I'd forgotten about Tab...
