Hi All

I know its a Cliff video, but could be Shadows related!

I wonder if anyone can name the keyboard player, and the bass player?

Graham Jarvis - drums
Mart Jenner - Gutair
Stu Calver, John Perry & Tony Rivers - backing vocals

Thanks
Tim

Could it be John Parks and Mark Griffiths?

Mark played lead guitar when John Clark joined the band and switched to bass prior to a tour of South Africa, so if it's Mark on bass, Jon is the other guitarist.

I think Alan means 'Alan Park', who was Cliff's keyboard player for many years during the 1980s. Incidentally, in my opinion, 'Now You See Me...Now You Don't', the album from which this single was taken, was Cliff's best album of the '80s, apart from 'I'm No Hero'. A fantastic big live rock band feel to most of it, which harks back somewhat to 'Rock 'n' Roll Juvenile' and just check out the (electric violin?) solo on the opener to side two. Blistering!!!!

Hi All

Thanks for replies.

The "Recording Catalogue" book (I recommend it), by Victor Rust, also says its Craig Pruess on keyboards.

I did'nt actually notice Mark Griffiths at the back!

I remember that Mark moved to playing bass, but I'm pretty sure that its not John Clark in the red.

So, nearly there, just need someone to confirm the gutarist.

Cheers

Tim

Ps, Yes Now You See Me, I agree, a good album, but if I had to choose the most "rocky" Cliff track of the 80s, it would be the extended 12" of "Born To Rock n' Roll".

Hi Phil,

Thanks for that and the link.

I think you must be right.

Bill Roberts played on the recording of the record, so that could explain it.

John Clark was Cliff's gutarist at the time, maybe he had a prior engagement.

Unless it was to have the people who played on the recording, on the video, which they all were, apart from the backing vocalist, who were not, as Cliff did his own backing vocals.
