IS THIS ANOTHER SHADS BACKING TRACK RIP OFF??

ebay - 160521969488 etc etc etc
Allegedly MCPS/PRS licenced and Royalties paid (their words not mine!!) and VeRo members.
The question is - is this Disc and its sister 5 others NEW WORK by this group - "The Corvettes" - or is it just a smoke screen for yet another UBH/SWO/CAS rip off?
Any one know?

Having said that why would you go to the trouble of recording these tracks again when they have already been covered by Shades of Shadows, UB Hank et al?
There can't be many Hank-wannabes around who haven't already got these tracks.

You are absolutely right!!
I have reported these and the Frogster ones for months with no effect whatsoever.
I suspect that, even though ebay professes to CARE about fraud and VeRo, as long as the Sellers keep selling and the Punters keep buying, the sound of 'cash in till' is music to their ears.
On the subject of the "Essex" ones, considering the band has been going since the 70's, I can find no mention of "The Corvettes" or their recording studio, unless its "Antfarm".
Any ESSEX members come across them?

From the legal point of view, I suppose e-bay could be aiding and abbetting, especially if they've had it brought to their attention and they choose to ignore it.
Perhaps a word in the ear of MCPS or similar organisation pointing them in the right direction would get results.

The mere mortal CAN'T contact the MCPS - there is no mechanism I can find to let them know about copyright infringement. You simply just can't send them an e-mail.
I guess its down to an MCPS registered performer (like Ian McC, Robbo or Warren) to make the complaint and make ebay culpable (by acceptance and onward transmission) of fraud.

I doubt if Hank gave the seller permission to use the cover of his Guitar Man album to sell backing tracks. I bet theyr'e illegal.
