Any bassists in Cambridge/East anglia? PLEASE!
Hi folks (sorry for reposting this from the bass forum, but we didn't get any replies)
Paul here from cambridge band, Los Kiosk Bears. We play a mixture of shadows, ventures, Atlantics and similar 60's instrumental tracks.
Our regular bass player has got a new job in London and can't spare the time, so we are looking for a bassist to replace him.
We usually practise twice a month (more if there is a gig coming up!) and play pubs and clubs around cambridge and east anglia (one or two gigs a month max).
We are not looking for a virtuoso, just someone who loves the old instrumental sounds, and doesn't mind play along with a bunch of old guys (well, 40 plus anyway!). We are not pros and don't expect to earn a living from it, just enthusiastic amateurs who are slowly building a good reputation in the area.
