Hello Shadfriends!
I took a closer look on the websites for Mosrite-guitars, and they list a bunch of worldwide Mosrite-users. Hank Marvin is on that list! That was new for me. Take a look:

Now that you've suggested it, I'm sure someone out there is busy with Photoshop . . . . .

Hi Bill
That's a great photo. Thanks for posting. Do you think the black Strat 3rd from the left is the one Hank uses on Cavatina as in this clip?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-lfu6-zOSk That's my favourite version of Cavatina. I love all their performances of course but this guitar seems to have such a unique tone.
best wishes

Well, in those photos, I can identify Gibson, Roland, Hayman and Giffin as well as Fenders and Burns, but no Mosrites...
As usual folks, don't believe everything you read on the internet...

That certainly is the black Strat Hank was using around the time of Deer Hunter and it was his main guitar - whether he used it on the recording, I don't know but assume so. It was eventually re-necked, re-sprayed, and if I recall correctly given to Ben.
