Yet another Cliff Richard & The Shadows CD compilation. This time again from Magic Records, France: "Early Rock 'N' Roll Songs". Since the copyrights have expired, the compilations appear by the truckload. When the rights for the 1961 recordings expire, maybe there will be a wealth of compilations, covering those will be issued as well. What's your opinion of all of those compilations? I would like to see a BBC compilation (in addition to the fabulous 10" LP, issued in October, last year) of recordings made for the BBC.

I have just bought a 3 cd set from Play.com titled Move It The Best of the Early Years.
Issued by Delta Leisure Group in the UK. It has a few Shadows numbers but really mostly Cliff.
For the price £6.99 it is good value for money to get all the old stuff together.
Good car music.

On Spotify there are umpteen compilations of Cliff material - I assume record labels now taking advantage of the 50-year copyright rule.

Martin.

Also new Shadows CD coming from Magic "The Shadows - The Drifters - The Chesternuts" - same time as the Cliff release. When The Shadows music comes out of copyright we can expect the same ......
