Shads heard on TV

Postby drakula63 » 03 Feb 2011, 12:10

Tuesday night I decided to watch Charlie Brooker's "How TV Ruined Your Life" - BBC2, 10 p.m. Have to say that I found it mildly amusing, although quite course. Where would today's 'comedians' be without swearing and sexual innuendos? Anyway, I was surprised and pleased, at about 20 minutes in, to hear almost the complete Shadows version of "River Deep, Mountain High" used as the background music to one of the pieces. Obviously one of the production team must have bought Shades of Rock ! An excellent choice, although I do say so myself!

After all due consideration, I'm not so sure that a childhood watching Thunderbirds, Doctor Who and The Sweeney has necessarily ruined my life. Mind you, I've almost been too successful at that by my own devices on more than one occasion!

Mind how you go.
