Noticing that Tony Meehan arranged and conducted this, I was wondering whether or not he is on the drums? The drumming is very powerful and distinctive and has always been something that has attracted me to this particular song. Admittedly it doesn't sound that much like Tony, but bearing in mind that he was clearly very versatile and that drumming styles had changed a lot between 1961 and 1970, I suppose it
could be him. So, does anyone know for sure?
And secondly, can anyone help me with a particular lyric that has eluded me for decades?
"Time Don't Fly Fast Enough When You're Lying Here
Thinking Of The Day When You'll Be Free
Oh How I Envy the Bird With It's (???? ?? ????)
Still I'll Be Home In The Morning Before The Dew
They Won't Believe It When I'm Home."Can anyone fill in the gaps? I've listened to it a million times and I just can't make out those words!
Thanks in advance.
