When I lamented the absence of Love DeLuxe in the current set-list, little did I know what I was starting! To be honest, I wasn't really serious, as I never for one moment expected to hear it! Mind you, that's not to say that I wouldn't like to.

Anyway, now that this thread has taken off, I'd better add something to it!

Having seen the Shads so many times in concert, it's hard to remember exactly what I have and have not seen them play live. So, I'll go for a tune that I am absolutely certain they have never played live, which is a pity, and one that I know I have never heard them play anywhere other than on the source LP.

My choice for a tune I'd love to hear them play live would be... SPIDER JUICE. Written by Hank, it's always blown me away with its mix of jazz and heavy rock. I still think it sounds awesome today, by anyone's standards. I realise it'll never happen, not least of all due to the absence of a certain Mr John Farrar; but that'd be the one I'd most like to see and hear live.

Still, I guess if they were to do a Marvin, Welch and Farrar Final Tour...

Lost City for me - a superb track - and love the Burns / De-Armond sound.
Sound of the Shadows is a great LP - one of their best imho.

Good Morning,

I'd really love to hear four of my all time favourites - Find me a golden street, Spring is nearly here
Turn around and touch me - and Song for Duke.
