Spotted this on you-tube today. Beautiful moody video, but who are the other guys? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzw6eSm7b98

Haven't watched this yet, but I'm assuming that we have all seen the video for Apache, also on Youtube, made in 1960? And I thought that music videos didn't come along until much later. Well, promo films, I mean. A marvellous and evocative, mean and moody little piece - and Jet is clearly the star (just look at the cigarette jammed in the headstock of his bass and the way he stubs it out in the final shot). Film Noir at its best.

Rock on!!!

This wasn't a video - it was a sequence from the film "Just for Fun" (which also featured Jet and Tony performing 'Hully Gully'). Not sure whether the guys were The Jetblacks, who backed Jet before his partnership with Tony, or musos recruited for the film sequence. It is very cool, tho!

There is (or was) an official limited edition DVD available via Leo's Den, which is called "Back In Time", featuring "Main Title Theme (The Man With The Golden Arm)", "Man From Nowhere", "(Doing The) Hully Gully", "Diamonds" and "Big Bad Bass". The last two tracks are genuine live recordings from the 1964 Poll Winners Concert, where Jet is backed by The Innocents.
