http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwO62T2YWQs This has been pointed out to me, by a very good friend of mine. I have listened to it a couple of times and I would like to see some more opinions from fellow members.

This is a rather poor recording with noticeable flutter which rather detracts from any enjoyment.
I have a vivid memory of seeing the Shads in Newcastle-on-Tyne and they sang this tune - Bruce took the lead vocal and made a wonderful job of it.

Just tried to have a look. The video has been removed so we can't pass comment.

Not aware of them ever playing this 'live' as an instrumental...

The Shadows did it as a vocal during their UK Autumn Tour in 1978 and as an instrumental during the 1986 UK and 1987 Australia / New Zealand tours.

That would tie in quite nicely with the release of the "Moonlight Shadows" CD of 1986 on which it appears.
Not a bad "Bootleg" recording considering its rarity.

I've got an audio recording of the Shads doing this live in 1978. A very moving version with Bruce doing a brilliant job on lead vocals.
