Name That Tune!

Postby Mikey » 12 Apr 2011, 20:18

You know what it's like, a song pops into your head from out of nowhere - you don't have to like it particularly - but it hangs around for days.
Well I've got one at the moment and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called or who sang it. It' a fairly fast-paced song from the 60s (I think), the lyrics of which go something like:
First verse:

Oh I know I’m falling in love

And you know you’re falling love

And we know we’re falling in love tonight…..

The middle 8 starts:

People will say that our loving won’t last

But how do they know?

I know the tune as clearly as anything so could work out the chord sequence but I just can’t remember what it’s called or who sang it. Can anyone here jog my memory, please :?:

HI

I think it's by Brian Poole and the Tremeloes. I think it was the B side of Twist and Shout. That's just from memory and it is early in the morning!! WE Know I think it's called!!

That's spot on, Stuart. Released in 1963.

Cheers.

Hi guys - greetings from NZ.
The name you're looking for is "We Know" by Brian Poole and the Tremeloes.
As well as being the 'B' side of 'Twist and Shout', it is also included on the group' first LP 'Twist and Shout'.
I'm enjoying listening to a CD version of the record as I type.
IMHO, a much underrated group.
Cheers,
JB
