F.A.B.!
I've had the movie for years, but never saw this particular Frank Skinner show - he looks great with the hair & eyebrows! Thanks for bringing it to our attention Jay.

Chas.

Nice to also see Bob Rogers in action as guitarist in 'The Skinner-ettes'. I interviewed him last year and he was a mine of information and interesting anecdotes. Bob was in The Ted Taylor Four, who released a string of singles on Oriole during the late '50s/early '60s. These combined Bob's guitar work with Ted Taylor's screaming Clavioline keyboard to create some distinctive instrumentals. Bob was also one of a number of guitarists who appeared under the 'Bud Ashton' alias, performing hastily recorded covers of instro hits for the Woolworths' budget Embassy label.

Bob acquired a sunburst Fender Strat in 1958, but still preferred to play his De Armond-equipped Gibson L-5. He also employed a De Armond volume/tone pedal and up to four Watkins Copicats simultaneously for 'special effects'!

Great clip & great fun. I used to watch Frank Skinner at the time - but somehow missed that particular show. Brilliant!! Yes - the Ted Taylor Four - loved their version of "Cat's Eyes" etc.

The Ted Taylor Four's "Cat's Eyes" is a great instro, but have you heard the best version by Kiwi 60's band 'The Invaders' ?
Cheers,
