Current thread - The Fabulous Shadows

The current thread started by Ritchy Rich has become totally unacceptable and I have deleted it as a result. This will, no doubt, upset a few members but I am not prepared to leave it in place.

I have also deleted the thread regarding members' real names because all the members concerned have either corrected their profiles or refused to do so. As in any society or club, you join accepting a set of rules and if you refuse to accept a rule then you are refused membership.

Since all relevant members have responded to that thread in one way or another the 3rd May deadline has become superfluous.

Any member who has been deactivated for refusing to comply with this rule can be reactivated easily either by emailing shadowmusic [at] bdme.co.uk with their real name or a valid explanation as to why they should be allowed a nom de plume. Please note that nicknames are not allowed as a real name under any circumstances. For good reason I am not prepared to enter into a long discussion on the subject either by email or phone.

I am currently concerned that every time the subject of The Fabulous Shadows is mentioned the thread becomes a very unacceptable flame war with unacceptable content being posted from all sides. For that reason I would ask all members to refrain from posting on that subject for the time being.

However, I see no reason why The Fabulous Shadows should not advertise their forthcoming shows, the same as any other Shadows band. Therefore, if Ritchy Rich wishes to email his advertisement to the above address I will ensure that it is posted. Alternatively he is welcome to contact me as above and post his own advertisements.
