I thought those of you who know Jay will want to know that he goes into hospital today for a bypass operation tomorrow. He has not been well for quite a while and naturally is nervous about this procedure.
Jay is the bass player in The Twylight Shadows in which I play drums and he has been very active with other bass players regarding tabs etc.
I will happily pass on your good wishes to him.

Ron

I am currently recovering from open heart bypass surgery. Surgery was done about seven weeks ago. The recovery period is where the effort is required. Stick to the rules regarding medications. Don't offer to vaccum out the house and generally avoid lifting, 'she inside' will just have to accept that. You'll also discover how heavy a Fender Bass really is if you try to play it... give it a miss for some time. The biggest issue that I was advised about was depression, however, stating the obvious, this is a state of mind and if you can keep a positive attitude towards life it will help... just remeber after a by-pass your heart is good for at least another forty years... at least thats what the surgeon told me.. another forty years of guitar playing sounds like a positive to me.
So Jay, I wish you well in your recovery, just remember it takes time so allow that to happen and all will be well. Best regards, Tony

Tell him to take things easy for a bit and get somebody else to carry the bass amp.
