I have recently purchased a new powerfull computer running Windows Vista after my other failed a couple of weeks ago. I have been informed the Yamaha Magicstomp Sound Editor wont work with Vista to my dismay.
Anyone any observations on this please or even any solutions.
Thanks Tony

Hi Tony,
I have also just recently purchased a new computer running Vista Home Premium.
Only yesterday I loaded the Magicstomp sound editor.
I had no problems either loading or running the software.
The only thing I had to do differently was to right click the Magicstomp sound editor icon and select "Run as adminstrator"
Double clicking the icon did not open the editor as it used to on XP.
I put that down to all the extra security features in Vista compared to XP.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dave.

Unfortunately Vista has "enhanced security" which can make it a dog to run.

Make sure that your login id is set up as an administrator and switch off UAC (User Account Control). This will stop all those "Do you really want to continue?" messages that pop up when you are trying to install something. It makes life so much easier.

Thank you everyone for the advice you were right it was actually to do with the Accounts administrater so I've turned it off all together now and its working a treat as I think some other little things I've been bemused about.
Cheers Tony
