By complete coincidence i'm reading his biography right now. I'm not far into it but so far has been an entertaining read.

Hello Roy ...is it "The Moon's a Balloon" you are reading at the moment?.... that was the first autobiography...... yes it it very entertaining & absolutely hilarious in places..... :D

Hello Kitty, yes we most definitely do have a David Niven fan here :D  (bit of an understatement really as I have been a fan of his since I was 13). Sadly for me, I never got to meet him, but in 1989 was able to pay my respects at his graveside in Switzerland. He certainly was a very elegant actor, & by all accounts written about him, a very charming man. :)

Nope, it's one written a few years ago called 'Niv' by Graham Lord but does contain some stories from 'The moon's a balloon'.
So far no one's had a bad word to say about him. You can't say that about many people!

I read The Moons a Balloon and it was a great read. I also read Bring on the empty horses which was brilliant too.
He seemed a really nice genuine down to earth sorta guy as far as I could make out.
As said, not heard any bad stuff about him.
