"Greatest Hits" CD

I was in Hong Kong the other day and went to the HMV music store, hoping to find the "Greatest Hits" CD. Someone on this forum suggested that I check it, as it has the mono or original recordings, some of which vary from the stereo versions. I forget who that was, but thank you. In particular, someone mentioned an overlayed tomtom or timpani in one of the pieces that appears in the original recording that is not in the later issue.

They used to have many Shadows CDs at that HMV store, but this time there was only one - the "Shadows Greatest Hits." What luck! I must have passed this CD before, as it seemed a duplication of what I have. i will listen to it carefully later.

Now, which piece had the drum overlay?

Is this the 2004 issue with the mono and stereo mixes of the tracks, 32 in total? If so, then you have "Wonderful Land" in its original mono single mix with the tom-tom overdub and the same version in mock stereo mix.
