Duane's connection with South Yorkshire ?

Duane Eddy's new album "Road Trip" includes a title "Mexborough Ferry Boat Halt". I live 3 miles from Mexborough and there was indeed a hand-hauled ferry acroos the River Don.
It cost one penny (incl. bike) to get over. There's a bridge now. Wonder if he ever used the ferry? This is perhaps the first time that Mexborough has been featured in a song title!

I would think the Mexborough connection comes from Richard Hawley rather than Duane himself

Hi
I think it was last year when Duane was over here he appeared on our local Look North TV show. During the show he said he had fallen in love with the area and was looking at buying a house in the area
The man has taste.
Regards Geoff.
