I understand that someone out of The Shadows will be playing guitars actually used by JET HARRIS to provide authenticity at the A TRIBUTE TO JET concert this Saturday (July 2). I also understand that PAUL MATTHEWS, the long-time keyboard player from JET's "Me And My Shadows" touring show that was on the circuit for more than four years, will be taking part in the concert.
Only 38 tickets are now left for the concert. Tickets are £15 and are available by credit card from The Record Shop Ltd 01494-433311.
The show will be presented by THE RAPIERS and MISS BILLIE DAVIS plus SPECIAL GUESTS.
It is fitting that THE RAPIERS and BILLIE should present this tribute night dedicated to JET because they were involved with or linked to him for decades, longer by far than anyone else in the music business. No one really knew JET better than THE RAPIERS and BILLIE.
The RAPIERS’ link with JET goes back to the 1980s and led to him making them his backing band of first choice for nearly 25 years.

Alan Jones came to see us a couple of weeks ago and he was taking delivery of Jet's guitars the same week and was to use them at Shadowmania according to what his girl friend Linda said - I may have mis-understood and it could be this gig she was talking about.

We took the Bass VI round to Alan's and he intends to use it for the Amersham gig and Shadowmania.
