Hi All

Just wondering if any video or film exists of Tangent. I do know Dave Holbrook had a connection to Tangent through a fanclub, is there any news on the members of the band?
Probably Jim N of Ray L might have the answers to this one

Many thanks for any news?
Dave

Tangent released four videos, 'Live Through The Years' Vol's 1, 2 & 3 and 'Live At The Secombe Centre 1992' Vol's 1 & 2 still appear to be available through thier website www.zingrecords.co.uk as are most of thier CD's. As for the brothers, Bill sadly passed away a number of years ago and both Merv and Derek currently suffer health problems.

Think you will find these are taken from Tangent Through The Years Vol 2, which has a full show with Alan on bass from 1991 at Hinkley Point Social Club, hopefully, as I said, still available thorugh Zing Records.

Tangent was a great Shadows-styled band. I have almost all of their studio and live albums, as well as their three VHS videos in the "Live Through The Years" series. It's very sad indeed, that Bill Jefferies isn't among us anymore and that both Derek and Mervyn suffer health problems. I initially only bought their releases which feature Jet and Alan, but later on, I also collected the other material.
There's one very early release I'm still looking for however, probably their first, a cassette called "The Bristol Shadows". Does anyone know where I can get hold of a copy?

Tangent had three cassettes, all sold at shows, The Bristol Shadows - contained two Jet Harris studio tracks 'Shazam' and 'Diamonds'. Tangent Live 17 Great Tracks - recorded in 1991 with Alan Jones on bass and vocals and Tangent Live '92 - again with Alan Jones on bass and vocals. Afraid I have not seen copies for many years.
