ZOOM Rhythm Track 223

Hi All

I have a Zoom drum machine, a while ago I removed it from my gig bag to find it had been switched on and the batteries were dead, and had leaked, I cleaned it up and replaced them, but whilst it lights up it does nothing else.

Some years ago a very elderly Yamaha rhythm machine suffered the same problem, it was past economic repair so I took it to pieces and found an on board battery, soldered to the main board, I bought a slot in battery holder to replace the existing and put a new battery in and it came to life.

The Zoom has a similar soldered on battery but I'm not sure there's enough room to solder an adapter, I can't seem to find these batteries with built in solder lugs.

Any ideas? it's not worth spending a fortune as it's never been used, it's been kept as a back up to the same model my pal who I play with has - he supplies the drum machine, I supply the backing tracks.

cheers

Geoff

Another thought - I have found Zoom (UK) to be very helpful indeed - supplying me with power transistors and even cases for Zoom pedals - try a Donna Symons on 01462 791102 - she will contact their engineer and find out if a replacement part is available and at what cost.

Email is dsymons@zoomcorp.co.uk

Good luck

Geoff

Hi Geoff

thanks for that, I tried Maplins for the Yamaha and had to buy the converter which I don't think there's room for, but I'll definitely follow up on the Zoom contact.

cheers
