http://youtu.be/g37qLvkaCBs Here courtesy of Andrewshadowy, is an unreleased Shadows track. Is this an example of the material that Bruce Welch does not consider worth releasing?. Sounds good to me, but I'm only a fan.

This is a bootleg taken from a tv show - that's the main reason why it hasn't been released. It's been around on bootlegs for a while.

The tapes to that show still exist, it was a Cliff ATV special.

Although there is some colour cinema footage of those white Fenders ("Wonderful Life") and some colour still photography (on the set of "Thank Your Lucky Stars", summer 1963), most shots are monochrome. That picture at 1:30 looks like a b&w which has been tinted by hand - Licorice's white Precision certainly didn't have a maple fretboard...

You'll find that LegEnd covered this on our "In The Beginning" album (2002) If I can find my copy I'll upload it for comparison (unless Uncle David beats me to it, of course) See you all in a fortnight.

It has to be the mark of a great group of musicians, to produce a sound like that using cardboard instruments, or were they miming ?
