A big thanks to Bruce and all the others for staging yesterdays dust up, it was certainly the best I've been.
All the bands were excellent and it just flowed really well

I couldn't agree more!
All the bands were superb! And what about the Foot Tappers? WOW!
Blue Rondo a la Turk was absolutely outstanding by Alan Hawkshaw, BB et al...!
I think I'm still in seventh heaven at the moment... I'll write more when I've come down!!!!

Have to agree, aprt from Jet's absence - we did miss him - it was probably the best show ever. All the bands superb and the Jet tribute well done, remembering the good times on a sad occassion. I dont think Ive heard the Foottappers or the Rapiers sound better! Wasn't Daniel Martin and the Rapiers "Theme for Something Really important" brilliant? More Foottapers next year please Bruce! Oh and didnt Bruce look well?

Glad the musical side was a success.
Likewise I would be interested in any dvd's going.

Indeed, thank you, Bruce, for putting on these wonderful shows. And as a special tribute to you, here's one from last night:

I have to say that one of the highlights of the evening was the Foot Tappers. A reasonable facsimile of the Shadows but what got me was the youth and exuberance of the group who, clearly too young to remember the original, have been inspired by the Shadows to do what they do so well. The young drummer is a Brian Bennett in the making and they really get that rhythm and melody is key, which is something that Bruce holds so dear.
As for Bruce's set: a very tender commemoration of the man that was Jet Harris, followed by a gloriously relaxed sequence of tunes by Bruce and his Shadows that showed off his brilliance as a vocalist and a rhythm guitarist. If you can't have the complete Shadows, then this surely has to be the very close next best thing! And that really is no bad compromise either.

Who would have thought that 50 years plus later so many of us would be paying tribute to three "missing" Shadows, most recently Jet, and seeing such talented youngsters keeping the Shads music alive. No 6 minute wonder "Boy Bands" here.
Many thanks to Bruce and everyone else involved.
