Newcastle rocks (and rolls)

Just back from the concert at Newcastle.
What can I say..... it was Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat !!
This has to be in the top 2 or 3 concerts I have seen, Hank on top form (far better than 2004), Bruce & Brian great, the back line excellent & the new arrangements are top class.
The sound was everything (& more) I had hoped for, sharp/mellow/powerfull and when backing Cliff, Hank & the boys delivered a masterclass in good old feel good rock & pop.
Cliff was great as well with his voice surprisingly powerfull at times
I was concerned about Cliff's voice & approach to the music but he rolled back the years with a truly vintage performance that I must admit left me eating quite a large portion of humble pie at the interval
It's all been said before, but it really is true, if you haven't got a ticket GET ONE NOW
What a way to sign off
it's now full circle for me after seeing the Shads many times & Cliff now twice,1962 & tonight.
I can't imagine the dvd being any better than this
Cheers
Dick.
