Dear all
i am looking at the possiblity of learning the electric guitar, despite being nearly 50!
Does anyone know of anyone who would do shadows stlyle guitar lessons in North East London? ie in Waltham Forest, Havering, Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Enfield? Are there any shads fans in that part of London, there must be lots!
I cannot read music either and am left handed.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David
There are quite a few guitarists in that area, myself included in Romford/Braintree. Best thing i can suggest is for you to come along to one of the shadows clubs, probably southend best for you, loads of players down there some semi proffesional who would be happy to show you the ropes so to speak.
All the best.

Hi Steve
thanks for your kind reply. I will think this over further. I have never played and can't even read music.
All the best to the Essex Shads Club.
kind regards
David

Trust me - it's in the ears and the fingers ........
check out you tube there are loads of guitar lessons on there to get you started - or get a copy of Bert Weedon's PLay In A Day
Good Luck!

Hi David
That's great news. I'm a few years older than you and started playing Shadows about 18 months ago so don't worry about starting late. One of the advantages in learning now is that there are many resources and help available online but a teacher would be a great idea too. Good luck and have fun!
Best wishes
Rosemary
