A Brisbane Shadows Club in 2012 - Expressions of Interest

We seem to have quite a few Shadows players in Brisbane and south east Queensland and those I have been in contact with are very keen to get together and form a Brisbane Shadows Club.

If you're interested please send me an email at rkbt@gil.com.au and/or contact Quentin (username: que) on Charlie Hall & Friends website and we'll start compiling a list of names and let you know how it progresses.

All ideas are very welcome! Peter and Quentin have already worked out some possible venues.

Best wishes
Rosemary

Rosemary,

Just 'logged on' to the internet and found this thread - fantastic that this project is under way! I am at present 'on duty' about 20 miles out to sea off Ballina heading for Brisbane (arrive Friday afternoon) and therefore have had thoughts of applying to join your 'new' Shads Club on arrival - but alas we sail again Monday for other places so I might pass on it this time!

Please keep us posted on how it develops?

Regards as always,

Bill Bowley

Best of luck with the Brisbane Club Rosemary!

Sorry I won't be there- it's a bloody long drive from Adelaide! :D

Hi Bill and John
Thanks very much for your support and you'll always be very welcome guests at club functions when it gets running!

It will probably take awhile but I'm confident it will work out. Last night I added a page about the project to my own website too and sooner or later it will be indexed by Google so people might find it that way if they're looking and I'd be very grateful if you'd please spread the word if you happen to meet any players from around here. :)

Bill: Hope you have a nice stay in Brissie over the weekend :)

Best wishes
Rosemary

Rosemary,

Many thanks for your best wishes for Brisbane visit! And of course for the invite to attend sometime in the future, be great to attend with 'Roach to see what playing 'clues' we could pick up from the talents in QLD!

Regards

Bill B.

Hi Bill
That would be great! :) We have five interested players so far (including myself). I also added a page to my website so word should slowly get around and even if we're a small club to begin with, we're all very enthusiastic which is the main thing and we can hopefully expand over the years. :)
Best wishes
Rosemary
