The first Shadowers tour dates for 2012

Hi folks...

In five months the Shadowers will be back on the road after - believe it or not - over a year without performing. It is already obvious that 2012 is going to be a very busy year for us! Tickets are on sale for our first two shows (for an absolute steal at just £10!) and are selling well.

Friday 20th April
The Exchange, Sturminster Newton, Dorset

Featuring Brian "Licorice" Locking
Box Office: 01258 475137
Website: http://www.stur-exchange.co.uk/

Sunday 22nd April
Westland Leisure Complex, Yeovil, Somerset

Featuring Brian "Licorice" Locking
Box Office: 01935 848380
Website: http://www.westlandonline.co.uk/

I will announce our further dates on this forum and our website as tickets go on sale (the next website upload is due imminently!). On our 2012 tour we will be coming to Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.

This is a great chance to see two Shadows legends - Alan Jones and Brian "Licorice" Locking - perform in intimate venues, and my colleagues in the Shadowers are all formidable musicians. I am very proud and humbled to be part of such a special group.

We will, of course, be paying tribute to Jet on this tour. Indeed, had he lived Jet would have been part of this show himself. He was so excited by the plans that were taking shape in rehearsals. There will be a collection on the door at the end of each show for the Jet Harris Memorial Fund.

Hope to see you at a concert soon!

J

Hi Justin

I've got a flyer from Leo's which shows a date for May 26th at the Academy theatre Birdwell Barnsley, is this the south Yorkshire date which is still to be confirmed?

Good luck with the tour, hope to catch the above gig.

Dave

Not before the autumn, Steve, although I have been in touch with an Essex theatre and it's very possible we could perform in your part of the world late next year or in 2013.

All dates on the flyer are confirmed, Dave, but tickets are only on sale for the first two. If everything goes to plan, tickets for the Nottingham and Birdwell gigs will go on sale within the next couple of weeks.

Nottingham is probably the closest to you, Keith. We were looking into booking a theatre in the Birmingham area but the fees were prohibitive. We're still looking, though. I'm actively pushing for a venue in Hankiesland for the Shadowers to play! It'd be good to see you in Nottingham if it's not too far for you to travel, though.

Scotland is another gig we're very likely to arrange, Jim, so keep an eye out.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes. Plans are progressing every day (the busiest times of my life are those periods spent helping arrange theatre performances!). Please come and see a show and make all our efforts worthwhile!

Best wishes to all...

J
