Vintage Rock magazine
Posted: 19 Nov 2011, 17:03New magazine from the publishers of 'Guitar and Bass' magazine with some interesting features. The debut issue includes interviews with Hank Marvin, Jet Harris, Duane Eddy and Joe Brown, and a feature on Surf Guitar. Can't see myself buying every issue, but certainly worth a look.
There may be some errors (Apache described as the second Shadows single without Cliff - well, only if you ignore the two made by the same lineup as the Drifters...) and I thought at first glance they had confused the 'Telstar' Tornados with the 'Bustin surfboards' Tornadoes but it was rather a case of making a link between surf music, 'Knights of Cydonia' by Muse, and thence to the Tornados, of course...
Loads of nice photos, but a tad pricey at £5.99 a pop.
