It is with sadness I tell you that the rhythm guitarist Asbjørn Johansen of The Saunters died yesterday, only 61 years old.

He was a great rhythm player and admired and studied Bruce's rhythm technic very close.

I have many great times on stage with Asbjørn and the highlight was in Trondheim 2006 when we shared the stage with Bruce Welch's Shadows.

Asbjørn also played in Tilburg with The Saunters in 2009, and was a member since the " new start" of The Saunters in 1999.. He also attended many Shadowsmania's, also the latest in 2011.

I will miss his humor and guitar playing, and of course the great friendship. My thoughts and condolences goes to his wife Birgit, his children, grandchildren, family and friend.

RIP

Rune
