Hi.
Can anyone tell me what echo units were used on the 1989 LP The Shadows At Their Very Best. The album was recorded and mixed at Honeyhill Studios
using Vox AC30's.
Regards Geoff.

Hi, Geoff,
I think that that LP was recorded in the Roland era. Probably a 301 rather than a 201.

Most likely the RE301 as Jim wrote. This is what was used by Hank during the same year tour, as can be seen on the "At their very best" video (later reissued as "Live in Liverpool").

Definitely a 301, identified from the echo timings.

Hi all and thank you Jim,Didier and Paul.
Looks like the 301 then. I do like the recorded sound on this LP. Not "That Sound" but a very nice sound, well recorded and produced.
Best wishes to you all for the new year.
Regards Geoff.
