Hi Jet, Bass lessons can be found on the Fender Players Club site. If you want Bass Tabs I can look out the site I got a whole heap of them from.
Best wishes from Oz.

A bit more ,Jet, Dave Robinson does/did backing tracks less Bass. A combination of TAB and backing track CD's should at least get you playing.
Good luck.

Even so, if you're serious about it, find somebody locally who gives bass lessons. You will end up a better player!

Hi,

It would be a great shame if you give up. I've just Googled "Bass Guitar Tutors in Kent" and there are quite a few.
If you are eager to get started try Youtube, there are plenty of lessons there.
You can start by getting chord charts, follow the chords playing the root note, then add root and fifth note (note directly above root) and then play root, third and fifth notes of the scale. There's are plenty of help. There are many good books, Google Hal-Leonard it will list them or Google a local or any guitar shop, they will also have lists of bass tutor books.

Good luck, and keep going.

Regards, Luigi

There are lots of basic (no pun intended) tutor books for bass, from only a few pounds upwards - have a look on the Amazon or Waterstones web site.

No substitute for a good teacher, but at least they would get you started while you look for a teacher...

Hi Jet
Try your local college, they usualy cater for all ages and abilities they maybe able to help you ,if you are starting from scratch some basic music theory lessons
would also help in understanding how melody ,chords and bass lines etc are composed, arranged and played.
just start at grade 1 and work your way through to a level you are happy with.
if i can help with any specific thing you are stuck on send me pm
Dont Give up ! (sounds like a song title)
