Sheffield - what ANOTHER Night!

Wasn't sure about starting a new thread, but as the other "Sheffield" one has now reached two pages, thought it best to do-so.
Marg & me got back to our leafy glade just outside Lincoln at about 1am after a GREAT night at Sheffield Arena on Thursday 15th. As with the previous evening, the gig was 15 mins late starting due to late comers (some of whom were still arriving towards the end of the first Shads solo set!). We had met Pete, Kim & Lottie earlier in the day, and following an excellent Toby Carvery dinner made our way to the Arena where the traffic was pretty overwhelming - even for Sheffield!
WHAT a show! Faultless in almost every way - these guys really ARE playing better than ever, and the sound (whether "That", or any other) was absolutely first rate. Brian's Drum Kit sounded fabulous, and as someone else said in the other thread - he's playing better now than 30 years ago.
Sometime during the last "quarter" of the show, Cliff said "We were once a Rock 'n Roll Band!". Well, Cliffie-boy, I've got news for you:
Irrespective of Age, Country of Origin/Domicile, Guitar Colour/Type/String Gauge/Pickups, or any darned thing else, you still ARE a Rock 'n Roll Band - and one of the best in the business! Sheffield was REALLY Rockin' last night!!
Regards
Paul
P.S. I won't (honest!) go-on about my dislike of "Arena's". At my age, though, I'd guess that was my LAST visit to such a place - unless, of course, The Shadows decide to do yet another "final" tour!
