Help - I need some lessons!

Hi Everyone

I have been in contact with Bob Witherington (SSC) and he has suggested i post my request here.

I am in my fifties and have had false starts regarding learning to play the guitar in the 60's, 70's ,80s, and 90's. A couple of years ago I purchased a Mexican 50's Classic Series Fiesta Red Strat.A musician friend of mine was going to commence giving me some lessons (general - not Shads style instros) but his band has somewhat taken off and has not been able to assist me.

My first love was always the Shadows.The first ever single was "FBI" purchased from Arding and Hobbs in Clapham Junction!

The question is - is there someone out there who would be happy to give me some lessons (paid - obviously).I live in Lingfield, Surrey, the largest town nearby is East Grinstead. If there is anyone within a fairly sensible radius who could help I would much appreciate it, or if you can point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful.

welcome to the club, plent of members around your area, maybe pop along to the Surrey shadows club and meet some of the members, im sure a few would be more than happy to show you the ropes.

I have arranged with Bob to meet him and the other guys at the Surrey February Club night. We have prior arrangements for this Friday.
