Hi Brian,

Good to hear from you,

I certainly downloaded the Wavosaur Audio program and it seems to work really well.
Thank you very much.

Did you get my Personal message sent about a week ago?.

Blessings,
Abel

I am gobsmacked at the amount of free downloadable kit there is these days. Is is good enough for the sort of things we are likely to want to do? And if so, how can they afford to give it away? I am baffled. In a good way :)

Ian, I think for a person who just wants to plug a guitar into an amp then these VSTs aren't really what that person requires. However there's a swing these days that once the novelty of has worn off then musicians of all genres look beyond intothe digital recording domain. This is a place where VSTs come into their own, however they need a host in which to operate such as the free Audacity and the editor on the top link. These accept VSTs to be loaded into their effects bank and you call them up to act on the recorded sound. Everythings non-destructive and if you don't like the efx sound then ditch it and move to another loaded VST efx in your bank.

There are literaly thousands of free VST efx on the web. all legitimate and I only pick outthe ones which I have used and know the quality. Kjaerhus in particular are very well known for their quality VST and I would reCommend d/loading all their stuff from the link. Look at eTAP Engineer link this is one of the best you'll see for tape echo on the web.

It's a case of knowing where to look and that's why I post them on occasions. If you need any help just ask and I or others will repond.

Here's the Kjaerhus Classic Compressor working on Sting's 'Every Breath You Take' & Chasing Cars first heard on Chris Evans' Radio 2 show. Faded and rendered in mono to keep within 1Mg.
