Hi.

I know a number of guys from here came over to the 2011 'Get Together' event last year and to let you know this years event has now been arranged for 9th and 10th June 2012 and this year will be held at WITTON ALBION FOORBALL CLUB, Northwich Cheshire.

The format is similar last year and although not a 'pure' Shadows event does take up the majority of the weekend. See photos from last year: http://flic.kr/ps/Yqv29

Due to no dates being available, we do not have Life Story there this year but we do have Lynne Butler there for the full weekend as well as performing on the Saturday night. Lynne has recently finished a tour with Joe Brown. Lynne is a UK Country Radio DJ as well as a recording artist in her own right:
http://www.westendcomedy.co.uk/lynnebut ... e/home.php Lynne will be bringing along her range of stringed instruments, guitar, double bass, banjo and uke and will be playing these on the Saturday night.

Like last year, guitars, amps and effects etc will be show cased with the chance to try them out. We also have two Bose PA systems, the Compact and the L2 fully working. Playing to backing tracks will be for the full weekend this year. The full weekend is just £25 or £15 one day.

SATURDAY 9th JUNE.
9.00am to 5.00pm - Buffet style lunch & coffee/tea served throughout.
8.00pm - 12.00 - Social Evening 'Lynne Butler & Guests'

SUNDAY 10th JUNE.
9.00am to 5.00pm - Cooked lunch & coffee/tea served throughout.

Numbers are strictly limited to 80 with no late arrivals, so booking early is essential.

New items are being added to all the time. We are waiting on confirmation that Hanks strat he used on the Final Tour will be with us for the weekend.

I'll be there with my Bose L1 Compact System which anyone will be welcome to try out with their own gear if they wish. For me it's definitely the answer to lugging heavy gear around. It has replaced guitar amp, PA and powered monitor, but can be carried into the venue in two hands and takes a less than a couple of minutes to set up.

Last year's event was great fun and this year's promises to be just as good!

We have a couple of spaces left which are being offered only to Shadow Music. I am not repeating this request elsewhere.

Last year we had a number of guys just turning up - I need to avoid a repeat of this. I must know in advance because of food etc. Please read my first post on this thread for further information. Everyone that I am aware of that's attending have been sent an email tonight with the following request.

We are just less than 3 weeks away and I am now looking to produce a preliminary programme and included in that will be what equipment and gear we will have at this years event. For those who wish to play to backing tracks, could they also let me know asap what they want to play. Please see previous programme for details on what I need.

This year we will have on both days a Guitar Workshop which will include basic guitar set-up's, and on the Sunday afternoon a demonstration of vintage tape echo using an original Echomatic. Here is your chance to hear one and see what all the knobs actually do . On both days we will be demonstrating no less than five different PA systems from small compact low budget systems suitable for homes and small venues to a larger system. We will have both the Bose L1 Compact and L2 systems there all weekend. We have over 300 different guitars, amps, effects etc at this years event.

New additions are being added to the programme all the time, and like last year we will have a few late surprises.
