The not so 'big' hits (tab help)
First up, Hello! I am new to these forums, little about me, I am a young shadows fan, 25 years old, love playing their stuff, where I can find the tabs! I am hard of hearing so learning new tunes by ear is next to impossible, so need tabs..
I do however wish to make it clear I am happy to pay for a book, as well as some tabs from these sites offering free user submitted ones, I just want to play the songs!
My problem is while all the great big hits, like apache, theme for young lovers, etc are well recorded tab wise, in both books and on those websites I mentioned, there are still a great many hits that I would love to play, especially those songs that they did covers of, like Moonlight Shadows, You Win Again, and there covers of such hits as you take my breathe away (orginally by Berlin), I would love to learn to play some of these..
Now I guess if unable to find direct tabs, I could find the vocals for the various songs and use that as a guide, add the shadows sounds and effects, but I have a problem, I am not musically trained! I mean guitar is relatively easy, and I can do keyboard, but I have to work out all the notes prior to playing...
My issue is, how do you know where on the guitar you play 'x' note? Is it a combination of sound and relative ease in terms of stretching?
I know I have left many many questions, and there shall be more! I have not been playing very long.. Just for the record I have a 'custom' strat, made by a local guitar maker, and a Fender Mustang 3 amp (yeah too much I know)
Anyway hope someone can help, or set me on a path to help
