Posted: 20 Oct 2009, 19:37I beleive also a drummer called Laurie Jay stood in for Tony Meehan for a tour of Scandinavia in 1961.I don`t think Tony performed many vocals with the Shadows.

Our first trip abroad was to Scandinavia and Germany, on an EMI promotion tour to plug Cliff’s records. The only disappointment of the tour was Tony’s absence or under circumstances, Tony’s abscess, as he rushed into hospital to have his appendix out.
